Undrafted Free Agent Went 26-12 as a starter at Missouri from 2022-24

The Jets will start QBBrady Cookvs. the Jaguars on Sunday in Jacksonville.

QBTyrod Taylor, who has started the last 3 games (4 in total this season), will miss the game with a groin injury, and QBJustin Fields, who has started 9 games this season and was Taylor's backup in Weeks 12 and 13, will miss his second straight game with a knee injury.

Cook (6-2, 215) was signed to the active roster last week and took first team reps in practice Wednesday and Thursday. Cook saw his first regular season game action in Week 14 when he replaced Taylor in the first quarter versus Miami. The rookie undrafted free agent from Missouri completed 14 of 30 pass attempts for 163 yards and 2 interceptions in the 34-10 loss.

One of 15 UDFAs to sign with the Jets on May 9, Cook completed 65.8% (25 of 38) of his passes in the preseason for 235 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. He was added to the practice squad on Aug. 27. Cook, who went 26-12 as a starter at Missouri from 2022-24, threw for 8,591 yards, 46 TDs and 15 INTs while completing 64.6% of his passes.
