The New Orleans Saints activated wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith from injured reserve on Saturday and he will be available for Sunday's NFC divisional playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Also on Saturday, the Saints placed guard/center Will Clapp on the reserve/COVID-19 list. NFL Network reported earlier in the day that Clapp tested positive for COVID-19.

Smith was designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday. He had been placed on IR on Christmas Eve with an ankle injury, four days after making one catch for 25 yards in New Orleans' 32-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Smith, 25, posted career highs in catches (34) and receiving yards (448) in 14 games (10 starts) this season. His four touchdowns were one shy of his totals in each of the previous two seasons.

Clapp, 25, played in just eight regular-season games this season, including some snaps on special teams.

He was on the field for just four special field plays in the Saints' 21-9 wild-card victory over the Chicago Bears last week.
