Desperate for goalkeeper help, Minnesota United FC acquired Adrian Zendejas in a trade with expansion Nashville SC on Thursday.

The Loons will depart with a fourth-round draft pick in 2021 and up to $100,000 in general allocation money.

Starting Minnesota United goalkeeper Tyler Miller was lost for the season after hip surgery, while backup goalie Greg Ranjitsingh has a knee injury. The team has Dayne St. Clair to man goal, with 16-year-old Fred Emmings also available.

Nashville SC acquired Zendejas, 25, before their inaugural season. He has just one game of MLS experience, making three saves and allowing a goal in 2019 for Sporting Kansas City.
