Isabela receives over 26,000 books from Children Int'l Phils

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Dec. 7 (PIA) - The Provincial Museum and Library in this province received a total of 26, 496 books in November from the Children International Philippines, Incorporated.

Gertrudes Gauiran, project coordinator of CI Philippines, Incorporated, said the books donated was just first batch as another 16,000 books are set to arrive this week.

CI Philippines is a non-government organization based in Kansas City, Missouri, USA aims to share quality books to the public schools and libraries of Isabela and in other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, Provincial Tourism Officer Alexander Miano expressed thanks to CI Philippines for choosing Isabela as one of the recipients of book donation program.

"The PGI extends our sincerest thanks to CI Philippines for the books donated in Isabela, it will surely be significant for our fellow Isabeleno learners and researchers," Miano said. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
